What's so important about Zion? And what's so dangerous about Babylon?
Choosing between Zion and Babylon is an act of agency. We can't "camp out" somewhere between the two; we have to choose one or the other. Our choices, including those we make every day in seemingly "little things," have consequences. So how do we overcome the worldly influences that may tug at us? How can we become more aware of the contrasts between good and evil, light and darkness-especially when Satan would have us believe that right is wrong and wrong is right? The Lord described Zion as being a society where the people were of one heart and one mind, where they lived together in righteousness, and they had no poor among them. This did not happen without individuals making righteous choices and the necessary changes in their lives. Can we do that now? Can we come closer to Zion than we are?
